The Paris Agreement was five years old last month and a panel held by the CDP discussed the role of the subnational governments in its implementation and ambition. It was the reaffirmation of the importance of the local actions to reduce emissions, with experiences, learning and opportunities. The discussion included Rolf Bateman, outreach coordinator at Under2 Coalition; Jussara Carvalho, head of international relations at the state department for the environment and infrastructure of São Paulo; and Fernando Sampaio, executive director of the produce, conserve and include strategy – Mato Grosso. The moderation was by Andreia Banhe, senior manager of cities, states and regions, of CDP Latin America. Watch!
