An application includes two new missions, with support from iCS, to expand the management of family economy projects, in a key region of biodiversity of Amazonas

A cell phone application that supports and organizes information referring to the daily activities of families living in the Amazon region. This is the purpose of Pegadas, an app created by the Fundação Vitória Amazônica (FVA), which offers “tools and missions so that residents of the Amazonian communities can record and increasingly get to know their own productive reality.” The Pegadas app has two new missions, supported by iCS: one about the Pirarucu production chain and the other about local fairs and markets.

For now, missions are available about fishing, extractivism and agriculture, with deadlines, task quantities and the partner responsible for the mission. Pegadas, which has been developed with the participation of local communities, is available to users of the Android operating system, in this link. The project aims to offer a new experience based on the lessons learned from the Monitoring System for the Use of Natural Resources in the Unini River (SiMUR), created by the FVA. The Unini River is a key region of the biodiversity of Amazonas.
