Instituto E + Energy Transition held two webinars, one on April 29 ( The Black Swan and Energy Transition – edition: Investment in Energy ) and another on May 7 ( The Black Swan and Energy Transition – edition: Investment in Energy ), with support from iCS. The first was moderated by the president of the Energy Research Company (EPE), Thiago Barral, with a presentation by Rabia Ferroukhi, director of the Knowledge, Policy and Finance Center of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), who spoke about the impact of the global crisis on the advancement of renewable energy. Rabia used her experience of more than 20 years in the fields of energy, development and the environment, having worked with governments in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as energy companies in the Mediterranean region.

The second webinar evaluated the movement of international investors in the global crisis caused by Covid-19. For this, there was a presentation by Kingsmill Bond, a senior specialist at Carbon Tracker, an English think-tank that is responsible for monitoring the impacts of climate change on the financial markets. During his presentation, there was a demonstration of a comparative analysis between the performance of the sustainable investments and the renewable energy portfolios, and the investments in oil and gas.
