Caio Borges, the coordinator of the iCS Climate and Law Portfolio, was one of the winners of the Climate Law and Governance Global Leadership Awards 2022, organized at all the COPs by CLGI Climate Law and Governance Initiative, during the Climate Law and Governance Day. For the world’s lawyers and legal scholars whose work involves the law and climate, this is the most important day of the COP. Caio was honored in the Civil Society category for his efforts in his work at iCS in the dissemination of knowledge about the law related to the area and how climate litigation is seen as fundamental for companies and governments to align themselves more with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
