On February 13-14, Rio de Janeiro hosted the first edition of the Converge Capital Conference, organized by the entrepreneur Marina Cançado.
It brought together members of investor families, key actors from the financial market and executives from companies, foundations and institutes to explore and discuss sustainability.
Among those present were, Silvio Dulinsky, a representative from the World Economic Forum for Latin America; the futurists Gerd Leonhard, Jaqueline Weigel and Sohail Inayatullah; Uri Levine, the co-founder of Waze; Karine Bueno, the head of sustainability of Santander Brazil; Gustavo Pinheiro, the coordinator of the portfolio of Low Carbon Economy of iCS; Marina Grossi, the president of CEBDS (Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development); as well as representatives from family offices, banks, large companies and investment funds. On the agenda was the analysis of alternative scenarios for the next decades, how to align investment portfolios with the future that we seek, and what are the efforts required to find a more positive outlook.
