The current grant is to enhance CBC’s capacity to influence high level decision makers in the government, Congress and key stakeholders for a more ambitious mitigation actions. CBC will focus its activities on the ratification and internalization of the Paris Agreement. Many initiatives are planed including the elaboration of a proposal to adapt current law and plans to internalize the INDC, the elaboration of a new climate governance proposal and continue to collaborate closely to Brazilian diplomats and officials in the UNFCCC process that will regulate the Paris Agreement. CBC is also planning to further elaborate the proposal on positive carbon pricing and will promote the discussion on different carbon pricing alternatives.
During this second year of existence the CBC will also invest in a communication strategy to amplify the dialogue with different sectors of society . CBC will promote connections with national and international climate leaders to integrate strategically the climate agenda.
