In the state of Rio Grande do Sul are the largest coal deposits in Brazil. The vertiginous growing of coal exploration changes the scale of environmental and social impact.This project aims to obtain necessary data on coal in Rio Grande do Sul, such as a) insertion of this coal in the Gonduanic context (coal with high mineral fraction); b) total sample geochemistry, showing the contaminants from the mineral fraction; c) characteristics of the combustion of this coal.
