A project developed by a team from the faculty of architecture at the University of São Paulo was one of the big winners of the international competition “What Design Can Do” which aims to reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. Dapoda, the only Brazilian entry among the winners, aims to experiment, train and manufacture furniture from the wood that comes from the pruning of urban trees, in order to unite human needs and recover waste using a waterfall production model.
