Eight Brazilian businesses are competing for the Global Green Business Ideas Competition, the ClimateLaunchpad, which seeks solutions to problems caused by climate change. There will be three spaces destined for the country in the next stage of the selection process, which will take place just before the final of the project – in this phase, initiatives from 55 other countries join in the dispute. In 2019, Brazil was represented in the global final by the startups Green Mining , Programa Mais and Global Forest Bond in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

The innovative ideas, in addition to competing for the prize of 10,000 euros, are also submitted to investors around the world, who are increasingly interested in the sector. In Brazil, the competition is being co-organized by Climate Ventures , an innovation platform to accelerate the regenerative and low carbon economy in Brazil, with support from iCS, Pipe.Social, the Vale Fund and Cargill.
