iCS begins this biennium organized into six portfolios: 3 sectoral and 3 thematic:

Therefore, the first change is that the work in Law and Climate, started in 2019 as a program within the Climate Policy Portfolio, has a new status in 2021, becoming a portfolio. Caio Borges is now the portfolio coordinator.

The internal organization of the iCS will also change with the imminent arrival of the new program director, Leonardo Lacerda. As already disclosed, Leonardo will start work at iCS in the second quarter, bringing significant experience in both philanthropy and climate change.

It is also worth mentioning that our strategic planning provides for a much more integrated operation of the various portfolios, having established transversal objectives, to which the different portfolios will contribute. They are:

· Guarantee a comprehensive review of the civil society of the NDC of Brazil for COP 26.

· Green recovery proposals to be included in tax and budget reforms.

· Guarantee the implementation of subnational policies that reduce carbon emissions.

· Guarantee that the Amazon is at the center of the 2022 elections and that the local actors are leading the sustainable development proposals of the region.

The 2021-22 plan also foresees an increase in the team size and a new organizational structure. We will inform you as soon as vacancies are available and filled!
