A survey by PoderData, commissioned by iCS, shows that 51% of the respondents consider the work of the current government to be poor or terrible in the protection of the Amazon
According to a survey carried out with 3,000 voters interviewed by PoderData, on September 6 and 7, in the 27 federative units (as requested by iCS), 74% said that the Amazon is important for the development of the Brazilian economy. The consultation, carried out after the 2022 Amazon Day Festivals, the largest cultural event ever held in Brazil to celebrate the date, also wanted to identify whether the chance of voting for a candidate would increase or decrease if a protection plan forest for the forests was presented. The number rose over the course of the campaign to 69%.
