DIEESE and FUP had two new training sessions to reflect on collective work agreements, technological changes and COP28

Two new stages of the training course “Dialogues for a just transition in the Brazilian refineries,” organized by DIEESE (Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies) and the Single Federation of Oil Workers (FUP), with support from iCS, were held in October. The debate revolved around the clauses about the just energy transition in ACTs (Collective Labor Agreements) in Brazil and global framework agreements, while the third virtual meeting of the sessions (five in total, until the end of November), made a diagnosis of the refineries in Brazil and of the profile of their workers. The last two meetings will have the theme “The vision of Petrobras regarding a just energy transition, the proposals for technological changes in the refining and their effects on the workers” and “What is the importance of the participation of the workers in the discussions about energy transition? International experiences and COP28.”
