The free initiative of Investors for the Climate (IPC) facilitates the calculation of emissions caused by financed companies
Version 2.0 of the tool for the calculation of financed emissions has been launched by the Investors for the Climate Initiative (IPC), in partnership with DEEP. The free tool facilitates the operationalization of the methodology of the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF). It allows financial institutions to access an initial estimate of the climate risk of their investment portfolios. Accordingly, investors can initiate the assessment of the carbon footprint of their portfolios and set goals for the reduction and neutralization of the emissions financed by them. The IPC is an initiative by NINT, with the support of iCS, and is currently formed by a diverse group of professional Brazilian investors, with more than R$ 2.5 trillion in assets under management.
