The Brazilian Legislative Observatory wanted to understand which deputies from the new legislature had a history of outreach in the climate change agenda. Based on the ranking of the 50 best and the 50 worst parliamentarians on the issue in an analysis of the previous legislature, the result provides some relief: of the worst, 40 attempted re-election but only 18 succeeded. Of the best, 44 sought four more years in Congress, with 29 elected. Although the result is significant, it is not sufficient to assert that the agenda of the climate was decisive in the electoral performance. Among those re-elected, however, many have leading positions in the chamber, including those working in favor of the climate and environmental agenda of the country.
