The 1st Online Seminar from the series Air Quality in Brazil, whose objective is to share knowledge about air quality in order to raise awareness about the issue and to support the construction of networks. Organized by WRI and other organizations from the sector, the first webinar concerned the perspectives for the advancement of the national policy and had Walter Figueiredo de Simoni as the mediator, who is an expert on Climate and Cities, from WRI. Evangelina Vormittag, technical director from the Institute for Health and Sustainability (ISS), and Marcel Martin Baptista de Faria, coordinator of the Transport Portfolio at iCS, participated in the discussion to debate what are the challenges for the implementation of the regulations that already exist today, and which new policies would help to overcome the existing barriers.
