Low Carbon Economy
The private sector and the financial system are fundamental agents for the transition of the economy to a sustainable model This strengthens the geopolitical positioning of Brazil in the international scenario, making the country an excellent business environment for foreign investment. It is an economy with net zero carbon emissions, in line with the commitments made in the Paris Agreement.
The Low Carbon Economy portfolio seeks to ensure the cooperation between the two segments, in addition to civil society and the public sector, with three work fronts:
Investments to decarbonize the economy, through awareness, engagement and regulatory review
Projects of net zero carbon economy and the bioeconomy to release the potential of the Brazilian natural superpower
Proposals of the Green Recovery inform the debate in Congress regarding tax reform and the national budget
