Tabuleiro dos Negros, which is a remaining quilombola community, is a study area coordinated by the Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies (Neabi), with a focus on the climate dynamics and their relationship with agricultural practices. Quilombola students are the leading figures of the research, which forms part of a larger action, called “Climate Change in the face of the Recognition of Black Territories,” which is an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Black Researchers (ABPN), in partnership with iCS.
