A photovoltaic solar energy system is installed in Duque de Caxias with the help of the Association of Women of Attitude and Commitment (AMAC) and an initiative by ComCat

The Association of Women of Attitude and Commitment (AMAC) is now a reference in sustainable practices. The entity, which has been fighting for women’s rights and against domestic violence for 11 years, welcomed the press, community leaders and allies from the Sustainable Favela Network (RFS, coordinated by ComCat, which is responsible for the initiative in partnership with AMAC) to the launch of a photovoltaic solar energy system installed in the community of Dique da Vila Alzira, in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro.

“Society imposes a barrier on us that does not exist. When I saw the possibility of bringing solar energy to my area, Baixada Fluminense, where everything is so much more difficult for us, and at the same time bringing it not only to the community, but also doing it so that the residents and young people could see this as a possibility for personal and professional growth, I didn’t think twice,” said Nill Santos, the founder and president of AMAC.

Revolusolar was invited to participate with course content that was carried out with the community regarding the system.
