The voice of young people wants to be heard. No wonder a young 16 year old has emerged as one of the main leaders in the fight against climate change. Greta Thunberg, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, mobilizes thousands of young people around the world. The movement that promotes a school strike on Fridays has reached over 125 countries and continues to grow.

In Brazil, the movement to combat climate change and the transition to an economy that respects the sustainable limits of the planet brings together several institutions. Consequently, last month, The 2019 Sustainable Turnaround, in São Paulo, dedicated a unique panel – organized by Cebds – to the narratives of young people. On the opportunity, representatives from several initiatives come together to engage and mobilize civil society against global warming. The objective was to build a purposeful dialogue from the viewpoint of young leaders representing various initiatives that have joined together to engage and mobilize civil society against global warming.
