The first Brazilian Yearbook of Electric Mobility has been launched, published by the National Platform for Electric Mobility. It presents a broad panorama of the sector in the country and proposes to “generate awareness in order to stimulate the growth of the market, promote professional training and offer bases for the development of public policies for the subject.” Throughout the 180 pages, the document contributes to research and technological development, increases the synchronism with civil society organizations that deal with the subject and provides highlights. Among them, the business models of neighboring countries, data on the size of the market, initiatives for the coordination of companies and the ongoing governance.
Although low in relation to the countries that lead the market, Brazil had an important year in 2019 for the market of electric mobility, with the registration of light passenger and commercial electric vehicles three times greater when compared to 2018. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sector is also extensively discussed in the publication. You can find more information here!
