At the Tapajós-Arapiuns Extractive Reserve, 22 local residents participated in the final stage of training to help the brigade against fires, with support and training from Embrapa, the Fire Department and financing from the Health and Happiness organization, which has performed very good work in the Amazon Region for decades. “We saw the need to bring this training to Resex, because it is an area that is very vulnerable to forest fires. There is nothing better than to think about how to prevent this through training,” explains Ana Daiane Costa, a technician from the Health and Happiness project. Watch the JT1 report in full .
