In a conversation on the Casa Firjan Podcast, João Pedro Rocha talked about the experience of participating in the world’s main financial forum, and how climate change is present

João Pedro Rocha, the coordinator of Partnerships and Funder Relations at iCS, was in Davos, Switzerland, this year (as a member of the Global Shapers community), to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF). This is an event that brings together the main business and political leaders from around the world to discuss the directions and challenges of the global economy. Among the results of these annual meetings are the reports that help to guide the decision-making by companies and governments. On his return, João spoke, on the Casa Firjan Podcast, with Iuri Campos and Isabela Petrosillo, from the Lab de Tendências, about the main topics that were addressed involving the climate, and what the private sector does to address such a priority issue.

“What is surprising is that the topics related to the climate agenda in the risk reports have been appearing in the TOP 10 for a long time, but now we have a set of different climate factors occupying the top positions. In other words, the crisis is intensifying and the solutions are not arriving in time,” explains João. Listen to the podcast in full here.
