James has 13 years of experience in GRC, holds a law degree from Estácio de Sá University in 2011, and is certified in Compliance by KPMG and Internal Investigations by LEC (Legal Ethics and Compliance). Between 2012 and 2015, he worked in Internal Audit at CONTAX, developing internal process improvements. Between 2016 and 2023, he coordinated the implementation, management and development of TAESA’s entire Compliance Program, transforming the company into a benchmark for several others, within and outside the energy sector, and was also responsible for interactions with the Ethos Institute, with the UN Global Compact Brazil Network, both in the 100% Transparency Movement and in the Anti-Corruption Collective Action. Between 2023 and 2025, he worked in the retail sector at Americanas S.A., where he was responsible for coordinating the process of disseminating a culture of integrity, focusing on policies, training, internal communication, and combating harassment.
